FOND DU LAC - Marian University women's lacrosse (2-7, 0-0 NACC) struggled on the offensive side in an 8-3 loss to Cornell.

- The Sabres were on the board first when junior Izzy Newton was able to find the back of the net 3:59 into the game.
- This proved to be the lone score of the first quarter as Marian led 1-0.
- The Rams were able to break through in the third quarter scoring three goals in a span of 3:23 to take a 3-1 advantage.
- Newton scored her second of the game to round out the scoring for the second quarter and put the Sabres behind 3-2.
- The Sabres were able to tie the game to open the second half when senior Nicole Stachon scored a woman-up goal at the 8:15 mark.
- The Rams would net two to close out the stanza, however, and led 5-3 heading into the fourth.
- Marian controlled play for most of the fourth quarter, but it was Cornell who scored three times to close out the 8-3 win.

- Shots were fairly even with Cornell holding a slim 24-23 advantage.
- The Sabres had 40 turnovers and were held scoreless on six free-position attempts.
- The Rams also held a slight edge in ground balls at 37-36.
- Marian did have an advantage on clears going 17-of-25 (.680) compared to 17-30 (.567) for Cornell.
- Each team had seven draw controls.
- Cornell has now won all three meetings against Marian.
