ELGIN, Ill. - Three of the five sets were decided by two points in a five-set loss for Marian University men's volleyball (3-5, 0-0 NACC) at Judson.

- The opening set saw Marian jump out to a 6-0 lead only for Judson to tie the set at 13-13.
- The Sabres were able to retake the lead at 20-18 before scoring four five of the final seven points to take the set 25-20.
- The five-point differential proved to be the largest difference in the match.
- The two squads battled to a 16-16 draw to start the second before four unanswered points gave the Eagles an advantage.
- Marian was able to battle off two set-points but dropped the set 25-23.
- The Eagles jumped ahead in the third set 10-5 only for Marian to go on an 8-2 spurt to lead 13-12.
- Judson immediately retook the lead at 22-17 but Marian battled back again with a 7-1 run to lead 24-23.
- The Sabres were turned away on the set-point chance and the Eagles scored the next three points to take the third 26-24.
- The fourth set saw a similar comeback as Marian trailed 18-13 before taking the lead 21-20.
- With Judson leading 23-21, a Marian timeout shifted the momentum and helped hte Sabres battle of two match-points.
- Marian was eventually able to force a fifth set with a 28-26 victory.
- The deciding set opened with an 11-11 stalemate before Judson scored the next four points to prevent the comeback win for Marian.Â

- The Sabres had at least 12 kills in all but the fifth set and hit .269 for the match.
