ANGOLA, Ind. - Marian University NCAA men's ice hockey (7-13-2, 6-9-0 NCHA) allowed three goals in the third period in a 4-3 loss at No. 12/13 Trine.

- Both power plays played well as the first four goals of the game were power-play scores.
- The Thunder had a quick start scoring just 4:53 into the game.
- Marian was able to even the score with just 2:12 left in the second period when junior Caden Carlson lit the lamp with help from sophomore Eemil Rautio and senior Noah Pickart.
- Trine was able to retake the lead just 1:17 into the third period.
- The Thunder was able to put the game away scoring at the 11:53 mark and teh 15:35 mark.

- Shots finished at just 23-16 in favor of Trine.
- The Thunder also had an advantage on draws at 32-23.
- Marian was 1-for-4 on the power play while the Thunder finished 3-for-5.
- The Sabres are now 4-13-0 all-time against Trine with the Thunder taking four straight.
- Marian remains just one point away from clinching a spot in the NCHA Harris Cup Playoffs.
