Box Score (Watertown, WI) - Danielle Grable (Neenah, WI) scored two goals on Tuesday afternoon to help Marian University defeat Maranatha Baptist Bible College 6-0. Grable has now scored two goals in back-to-back games as Marian has run their winning streak to four games. The Sabres are now 7-3 overall and 6-2 in the Northern Athletics Conference.
Grable scored just :42 seconds into the contest and the Sabres did not let up. Grable's goal was assisted by Kim Kriese (Stevens Point, WI). At the 9:22 mark, Brittany Graham (Alvin, WI) scored her team-leading eighth goal of the year to make it 2-0. Cassandra Crawford (Wales, WI) assisted on the goal.
In the 23rd minute, Taylor Hozeska (Hartford, WI) scored her second goal of the year to make it 3-0. Grable assisted on the goal. The Sabres scored their fourth goal of the period in the 31st minute as Mollie Tennessen (Kaukauna, WI) scored on a corner kick. Crawford and Kriese assisted on the goal.
In the second, Grable scored on a penalty kick in the 55th minute and Sohaila Akhavein (Oshkosh, WI) closed out the scoring with a goal at the 79:32 mark. Morgan Franz (Eagle River, WI) assisted on the tally.
Tiffany Erdman (Wausau, WI) and Jordan Dykstra (Cedar Grove, WI) each played a half in goal and shut out the Crusaders.
Marian is back in action again on Saturday, as they will host Alverno College. Action is set to begin at noon.
