FOND DU LAC, Wis. (SabreAthletics.com) – Eight different Sabres found the net as the Marian University women's soccer team posted its second double-digit scoring game of the season in a 10-0 victory over visiting Maranatha Baptist Bible College on "Playing for a Cause" night that benefited the fight against multiple sclerosis, this evening, Oct. 23.

Laura Maly and Morgan Ansems each scored twice, the second occurrence in as many games for the latter. Meanwhile, senior Jordan Dykstra accomplished a rare feat as well, playing 20 minutes in goal before converting to a position player and scoring her first career goal to cap the scoring in the 85th minute for the Sabres.

Marian improved to 9-8 overall, 9-3 in the NAC with the win, while Maranatha fell to 6-12 (3-9 NAC) with the loss.

The Sabres outshot the Crusaders, 30-1, in a dominating effort all around. Marian took a 6-0 lead into halftime after Leisa Conn opened the scoring in the seventh minute, following by two goals from Maly and others by Ansems, Kylie McArthur and Sam Austin.

Marian held a 22-0 shot advantage in the first half and all eight saves by MBBC keeper, Michala Marino, also came in the opening stanza.

In the second half, Ansems got in on the act once more before Kayla Bernardi, Kelly Kulinski and Dykstra each found the net for the first time this season.

The Sabres will conclude the regular season with a Senior Day contest against non-conference foe, UW-La Crosse, tomorrow, Oct. 24, at 5 p.m.
