Between 2000 and 2004, Terry Dunbar was a dominant goaltender for the men's hockey program. Dunbar holds several career records, including 91 games played, 49 wins and 2156 saves. He sports a career 2.79 goals against average and six shutouts, both of which are second in program history.

Dunbar is a two-time All-Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association first-team selection. He was 2003-04 MCHA Player of the Year and a two-time MCHA tournament MVP. He twice goaltended the Sabres to MCHA regular season championships and in 2002 led the Blue and White to the MCHA tournament championship.
